SATURDAY SOUP KITCHEN
FOR THE HUNGRY

We are happy to announce a new ministry at Saint Edward Church which began Saturday October 8th. Saint Edward Kitchen will serve lunches on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month in the Church basement. It has been newly air-conditioned for the comfort of the clients as well as an alternative location for weekend Masses when the upstairs church is too hot. Donations for this new ministry have been made in memory of the late Gayle Giammarco to whom the church kitchen will be dedicated and who was a driving inspiration to begin this project two years ago. Covid-19 delayed the opening but we have begun serving the growing number of families served by the Saint Edward Food & Wellness Center. Saturday was the day chosen because there is no school and an ideal day for families to come for a meal and the church is within walking distance to many people who would benefit from a free meal. Lunches will be served from 12 noon to 1PM.
