THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Let us ask for the grace to follow Jesus faithfully, not in words but in deeds, and to have the patience to carry our own cross.

MISSION TRIP UPDATES

Many of our Parishioners have asked what they can do to  support our July Mission Trip to Guatemala?  After three years of mission work the most important help you can give us is a monetary Gift.   Please have checks made out to St. Anthony’s Church, with Mission Tripwritten in the memo section.  I want to explain why.  While so many people responded to the clothing and sneaker drive, the largest problem was transporting them to our destinations in the 24 suit cases it required.   It was only in Guatemala that we realized that our American dollar can go even further in a Walmart in Guatemala City. So this year we are asking you to consider  a few options:

1. Please support the concert on May 26th at Saint Anthony, please see other announcement.

2. Join us at our Pasta Dinner, Saturday June 24th.  at St. Anthony’s Parish Center.  A table of 8 can be reserved under your name. Tickets will be on sale in the upcoming week. See Gian Perotta for more information. Also, Fr. Mark will be making his famous Tortellini All’Amatricina.

3. Yes you can donate clothing, underwear, socks, or any other clothing for ages 5, 6, 7 or 8 year old boy or girl.  School supplies are welcome.  These items  will be shipped in the middle of June and will arrive for our visit in July.. All donations need to be at the parish by the weekend of June 15th.

4. Monetary donations will go to support our trip, as well as provide scholarships to students at the school. We learned that many children are kept home from school because families cannot afford the school registration fee, and that is very sad.

Thank you for your kind and continued support.

PASTA DINNER FOR MISSION TRIP

The Guatemala Mission Team also known as “The Happening” will be hosting a Pasta Dinner on Saturday, June 24th in the Parish Center. There will be soup, salad, pasta, meatballs, and dessert. Light entertainment and raffle prizes will be available. This is a great chance to meet the Mission Team. Guests are allowed to choose their preferred arrival time.  Arrival times are 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm.  The dinner will conclude promptly at 8pm.  Tickets are $10 per person or $30 for a family (2adults and children under 12).  Tickets will be available after all masses this weekend. You can contact Gian Perrotta at gpmail98@gmail.com or 401-353-5216 for ticket inquires.
